I’m Gail McConnon, a professional aging coach and a mentor to midlife women who are aging alone.

I’m also a woman over 50. And, just like you, I am aging alone.

I understand the challenges and inner struggles of growing older alone, both from personal experience and my professional coaching work. And I know that the prospect of what lies ahead in your aging can be loaded with fear, uncertainty, and bouts of self-judgment and self-doubt.

Thankfully, I have the training and qualifications to help you work through and clear away those feelings, and lay them to rest. I know it might not seem possible now, but on both a professional and a personal level, I guarantee you it is.

My Qualifications

It isn’t personal experience alone that qualifies me to help you. I hold certifications in several fields that contribute to my work as an aging coach. Specifically, I am an:

  • HNLP Life Coach with a focus on aging
  • Master practitioner of neurolinguistic programming (NLP)
  • Hypnotherapist
  • Sage_ing Circle Facilitator

I also hold BA, MPH, and MS degrees and have written about and been asked to speak as an authority on aging in numerous venues.

My Driving Passion

Too many women just like you and me dread the thought of aging alone, even if they’ve lived their entire lives happy in their independence. They – you – need something more to support you in your aging than horror stories and the internal dialogue and fears that result.

My passion as an aging coach lies in helping clients like them – like you – tackle the tough parts of aging alone from a place of confidence. Together we work to find the answers and to take back control of your aging, so the fears and uncertainties lose their power.

My Philosophy

My mother was the primary inspiration for my personal philosophy on aging alone and the whole process of aging. She was a true elder – a wise woman – who taught me that the only real way to grow into “older” is to live fully in the present, without losing sight of the past or the future.

For my clients, that philosophy is a gift that helps them learn to confidently age alone with insight, optimism, and yes, some wisdom of their own.

The way I see it, the prospect of aging alone doesn’t have to be frightening. At the end of the day, the way we choose to age belongs to each of us – alone. I cherish my role as a coach and mentor in helping you decide how you’re going to grow older your way, and how to start living those choices with confidence and strength today.

. . . . . . . .

I look forward to getting to know you better, and to helping you quiet all your “old and alone” monsters with answers that will guide you through your life’s second half. For now, though, come join me on the Blog and tell me what you’re thinking.

Keep growing my friend,

Gail
